We offer a range of specialized training programs tailored to meet your agency's needs, in-person, hybrid, or virtual. Our approach is focused on understanding and responding to what you require, providing effective and practical solutions.
Pre-Service Trainings
TIPS/MAPP
a 30-hour mandatory training in North Carolina (and other States). This program develops skills, understanding of trauma, and mutual decisions on whether fostering or adopting is a fit.
NTDC
a research-based curriculum for prospective foster, kinship, and adoptive parents. It prepares parents for children who have experienced trauma, loss, and separation, offering ongoing resources.
Deciding Together
an alternative to TIPS/MAPP for prospective foster, kinship, and adoptive parents to learn about child welfare, loss, separation, needs, and building connections through comprehensive preparation and mutual selection. Ideal for smaller agencies that may not have sufficient numbers of participants for TIPS/MAPP.
In-Service Trainings & Workshops
RPC (Resource Parent Curriculum): Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma
an 8-module workshop (16-hour training) for caregivers of traumatized children. Teaches caregivers to understand they "Why" behind behaviors resulting from trauma using practical strategies to help children heal from trauma. Focus on safety, emotional regulation, life story development, and self-care for parents, empowering them to manage challenging behaviors and promote healing with real-world application.
