Equipping prospective foster and adoptive parents with essential skills and trauma-informed knowledge.

In-service training

Providing ongoing support and education for licensed foster and adoptive parents to enhance their "trauma lens."

Specialized workshops

Addressing specific challenges and fostering healing through trauma-informed care strategies.

Empowering empathy, fostering resilience

Our training programs are designed to help foster, kinship, and adoptive parents develop a deeper understanding of trauma and its impact on children, while also promoting essential self-care practices.

Tips/Mapp training

Our TIPS/MAPP (Trauma Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence-Model Approach to Partnership in Parenting) program is a 30-hour mandatory training in North Carolina (and other States). This program develops skills, understanding of trauma, and mutual decisions on whether fostering or adopting is a fit.

Ntdc training

The NTDC (National Training and Development Curriculum) is a research-based curriculum for prospective foster, kinship, and adoptive parents. It prepares parents for children who have experienced trauma, loss, and separation, offering ongoing resources.
